Almond Oil (prunus amygdus)
The almond tree is cultivated in Southern Europe, the Mediterranean countries and in California. Almond oil mainly consist of oleic acid, 25% percent essential unsaturated fatty acids, 0.5 to 1.0% sterolins (natural skin softeners) and vitamin E in a concentration of 10 International Units [IU] per ounce. Almond oil was highly valued by the Egyptians for cosmetic purposes. It is known for its mildness and is a natural glossifier.

 

Sesame Oil (sesamum indicum) organic
Sesame has been known for thousands of years it is produced from the tiny seeds of the sesame plant grown mainly in China and India. Cosmetically sesame is highly respected for its content of sterolins (1-1.5%) which are superior natural skin softeners, moisturizers and conditioning agents.

 

Safflower Oil (carthamus tinctorius) organic
Safflower is native to the Mediterranean countries and is cultivated in Europe and in the United States. Known since ancient times safflower has one of the highest linoleic acid contents (70%) of all known oils. The unsaturated fatty acid compounds of safflower oil gives it superior skin compatibility and deep moisturizing capabilities.

 

Sunflower Oil (helianthus) organic
Sunflower oil contains 4 different kinds of Essential Fatty Acids. It contains 9% palmitic, 4% stearic, 28% oleic, and 58% linolenic fatty acids. All of which are vital to healthy living internally and externally.

 

Soybean Oil (soya max) organic
Soy oil is highly respected for its properties of protein, oil and lecithin a by-product of the soy oil production. Soy oil is very rich in unsaturated fatty acids and contains a high Vitamin E content of 30 International Units [IU] per ounce. It contains a two percent concentration of skin softening sterolins, the combined properties of soy oil makes it a valued emollient for cosmetic use.

 

Wheat Germ (triticum)
Wheat Germ oil has the highest content of Vitamin E of any oil, it contains 250 IU per ounce. It also contains pro-vitamin A and D, lecithin, and a very high concentration of fatty acids compounds. Vitamin A is necessary for skin and cell regeneration, dermatitis, dry skin and scalp, and is used in anti-aging, anti-acne and anti-wrinkle formulas, and is readily absorbed by the skin.

 

Lecithin (soya max)
Lecithin is a by-product from the production of soy oil. Lecithin is a natural anti-oxidant made up of many different phospholipds. Phospholipds are one of the principle components of living cell membranes. Cell membranes are involved in both containing the cell and allowing special protein molecules to selectively transport ions and other substances through the membrane.
